Need the official e-PAN?
If you've lost your card or need the official digital copy, the Income Tax Department lets you download an e-PAN PDF online. This tool is for turning a photo or scan of your physical card into a PDF.
Protect your copy
Before sharing, consider adding a line such as “For KYC at XYZ only” with Watermark PDF. It makes the copy harder to misuse elsewhere. If a form wants your PAN and Aadhaar in one file, convert both and join them with Merge PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to convert my PAN card here?
Yes. The photo is processed inside your browser and never sent to any server.
Can I put the front and back in one PDF?
PAN cards only have details on the front, but if a form asks for both sides, add both photos — each becomes a page.
My form needs the PDF under 100 KB. What do I do?
Change “Maximum file size” to 100 KB before converting. A single card fits easily.
